TYPES OF MASSAGE AND REIKI

SWEDISH MASSAGE The therapists uses long, smooth strokes, kneading and other movements focused on superficial layers promoting relaxation, ease of muscle tension and calming of the nervous system.

DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE This therapy focuses on realigning deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue. Deeper pressure than Swedish massage and may be concentrated on areas of tension and pain. There may be some stiffness that should subside within a day or two.

PRENATAL MASSAGE Massage is on a special table tailored for the pregnant body. Prenatal massage relaxes tense muscles, eases sore spots and improves circulation.

PASSIVE STRETCHING The therapist holds the position assumed by the client. Slow, relaxed stretching relieves spasms in muscles that are healing after injury.

CHAIR MASSAGE A short session where a special ergonomic chair is used to open up the the back muscles, relieves strain on the neck and eyes.

REIKI A Japanese technique for stress reduction based on laying on hands and life force energy flows. Benefits for mind, body, emotion and spirit promoting a sense of well being, peace and security.

REFLEXOLOGY 30 to 60 minutes sessions. Therapist applies pressure to feet and hands bases on a system of zones and reflex areas to relieve stress, anxiety and pain.

AROMATHERAPY Natural oils from flowers, bark stems, roots, leaves etc. when inhaled and absorbed into the skin promote brain function and healing.
