CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

ANUSARA- Many variations of asana, including standing poses, back bends, forward bends, twists, and hip openers taught in a physically descriptive way to bring the body toward its optimum alignment. We remember the deeper meaning of the practice, to step into the higher flow of Divine Grace and awaken to an abundance of inner goodness. If you've never done this style- you'll want to start with an intro or beginner class.

VINYASA BASICS- Learn the fundamentals of "flowing" using your breath and physical instruction to develop self-awareness, as well as stretch, tone, and strenghthen.. Suitable for all levels as poses will be modified as needed to meet individual needs.

INTRO TO YOGA- For the student who has little or no yoga experience. The class teaches the foundation of Anusara (see above description).and will prepare you for higher level classes and other styles offered. Props are widely used in this class, making it easier for students with limited flexibility or other limitations.

PRENATAL YOGA- This 6 week series of classes gives expectant mothers a safe guide to gentle stretches that can help them adjust to the physical and mental demands of labor, birth, and motherhood.

TEEN YOGA- A beginner level mixture of postures, meditation and partner exercises that will promote strength in body and mind that is beneficial to the teen. Students gain a sense of well- being while developing their posture, strength, confidence, self-esteem and healthier habits.

CHILDREN'S YOGA- A fun and creative yoga class for children ages 5-10 years old. Using animated poses and interactive games; strength, flexibility, coordination and body awareness are energetically promoted.
